Tracy M. Frick, Esq., of FrickTrent, PLLC has been named President of the Appalachian School of Law Alumni Association for 2010-2011. Governed by a Board of Trustees, the Law School provides a high quality program for the professional preparation of lawyers--the Juris Doctor or J.D. degree. The general curriculum emphasizes dispute resolution, ethics, and professional responsibility. Students gain insights into the time-honored role of the attorney as counselor and representative of the court who seeks balance between the interests of the client and that of the public and strives for fairness and justice.
Tracy M. Frick, Esq., is slated to judge the 2010 Carol N. Ney National Mock Trial Tournament at Furman University the weekend of March 26, 2010. The American Mock Trial Association has named Furman University as one of seven sites to host opening rounds of the 2010 championship series. Participants prepare a prosecution/plaintiff as well as a defense case. A team consists of six to nine students, and Furman generally supports four or five teams. The Paladins compete in five to six tournaments, including the South Atlantic Tournament.
